Half term is approaching, so we’ve got a week packed full of fun for Kids and Parents alike!
Our popular Teddy Bear Express is back for another year. Here’s 8 reasons to come down to our Aylsham Station this February Half-Term.
1) Free Travel for Kids this February Half Term!
Our
Teddy Bear Express has free travel for Kids (when accompanied by a paying adult).
The Teddy Bear Express travels from our Aylsham Station to Wroxham 11th – 19th February. See the picturesque Norfolk countryside in a way you’ve never seen before!
Make even more out of your day by combining your train journey with a
cruise along the river – children travel free on the boat too!

2) Travel with Teddy!
All the best moments are moments shared with friends. We’re encouraging everyone to bring along their favourite furry friend to join us for the ride.
3) Plenty of Things To Do
Apart from setting off on board the Teddy Bear Express, we’ve got plenty of activities for the kids.
Join in the “Spot the Teddy Bear” quiz, get creative and get colouring on the journey and there’s also a teddy tombola at Buffer Stop Books.
Finish of your day with a browse round ourshop full of model railways, souvenirs and toys including a wide range of Thomas the Tank Engine products.
4) 100% Steam
We’re exclusively using our
Steam Locos through February Half Term, so you can travel with the kids and their teddies in style.
5) Loco Workshop Open
Those with a curious mind and any budding train drivers or mechanical geniuses can come into our workshop and see what makes our trains go!
6) Our Whistlestop Café
If you’re peckish, we've got tasty homemade treats and hot or cold drinks from the
Whistlestop café. We recommend a look at our delicious selection of cakes!
7) A Day by the Broads
Bure Valley Railway’s other station is located at Wroxham - the capital of the Norfolk Broads.
It’s easy to while away a few hours in Wroxham. You can find a bite to eat at one of Wroxham’s family-friendly pubs, café’s or restaurants.
As a treat, there’s freshly fried fish & chips or take the kids to McDonald's – a sure favourite.
If the weather is nice, take some left-over bread to feed the ducks by the river. Or take a visit to Wroxham Miniature World which is walking distance of the Bure Valley Railway station at Wroxham. For the adults there is a wealth of independent shops as well as Roys department store.

8) Meet our Mascot
Our Teddy Bear Express will be greeted back into by our resident Big Bear mascot with an opportunity to say hello and get some photos as a reminder of a great day at Bure Valley Railway.
