Aylsham Attractions

Your Bure Valley Railway journey may start at our Aylsham station - in the beautiful, historic market town on the River Bure. Whilst there's plenty to do in and around the station, we thought we'd share our favourite things to do and visit in Aylsham. Let us know if there's any we should add to our list!

Blickling Hall

A short drive from our Aylsham Station in the historic National Trust owned Hall. Please note this is 1.8 miles and not within easy walking distance if you have travelled by train from Wroxham.
Find out more here.

Aylsham Heritage Centre

Located in the old church rooms in the grounds of St Michael's Church, Aylsham Heritage Centre is a resource for the local community to find out more about the heritage of the area. We are also one of the Tourist Information points in the town. Find out more
here.

Red Wings Horse Sanctuary Visitor Centre

Just under a mile from our Aylsham Station is this charming Horse sanctuary. Find out more here.

Urban Clay

A 10 -15 minute walk into the town of Aylsham will bring you to this wonderful pottery painting studio. Find out more here.

The Black Boys Hotel

The Black Boys Hotel is one of our closer neighbours in Aylsham - an imposing Grade II listed building in the centre of town. It is a popular pub, bar and restaurant. Find out more here.
