The Bure Valley Cycle Path

The Bure Valley Railway is very friendly to
walkers and cyclists.

A purpose built footpath and cycle path runs alongside the entire nine mile length of the track from Aylsham to Wroxham taking cyclists and walkers through some stunningly beautiful English countryside. There are many nice paths which also spur from the our footpath and cycle way.

Cyclist pass a train at Buxton StationWalkers can join any of the Bure Valley Railway's scheduled services. There are also intermediate stations at Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall for those walkers not able to walk the full nine miles between Aylsham and Wroxham.

Cycles can be carried aboard scheduled Bure Valley Railway services, at a maximum single journey rate of £3.50 per cycle (subject to availability of space - please check beforehand).

This means that folk now have the option of walking or cycling in one direction and catching the train back.

Need a Bike? - No Problem.
At the Wroxham end you can hire cycles from Broadland Cycle Hire located just outside Hoveton at Bewilderwood. For more information phone 07887 480331 or click here

We regret that we have very limited accommodation for cycles on our special events and that we are unable to take advanced bookings of space required for cycles.

For this and other cycle paths please visit 'Sustrans' website or 'The Broads by Bike' websites.
