No.6 "Blickling Hall" .
History
The locomotive was built specifically for the railway by Winson Engineering and delivered to the
railway at Easter, 1994.
In 2001, a thorough overhaul was started on the locomotive, returned to traffic in late 2004. This work included
new cylinders, smoke deflectors, multi jet 'Lempour exhaust' and other modifications which have made this
the most economical tender engine on the line.
The design is loosely based on the Indian Railway 'ZB' class of locomotive.
No.6, although a half sized replica of the 'ZB' locomotive, has two thirds of their original tractive effort.
The locomotive is owned by the Bure Valley Railway.
