No4 Hudson Hunslet 0-4-0 Diesel Shunter

History
Originally built by Hudson-Hunslet in 1954 as a two foot gauge, four wheel industrial locomotive.

Partially rebuilt and re-gauged to our 15" Gauge, by the apprentices at Eagit Ltd, the loco has now been completely rebuilt by a small and dedicated group of The friends of Bure Valley Railway.

It is fitted with the diesel engine from a Peugeot 205 car with hydraulic drive.

Following it's rebuild the locomotive was handed over for active use on Bure Valley Railway on the 31st of October, 2004.

It's principal job is Aylsham Station shunter, track work, including help to flail the line using the railway's purpose built flail machine.

The locomotive is owned by The Friends of The Bure Valley Railway
